i’ve been lazy in terms of blogging recently. spend a lot of time outdoors, mostly riding my bike. yesterday my ride was memorable because i had pretty strong headwind for most of the part and especially for the 5 km climb. boy, a kilometer can be long! 34° C was the average temperature with a climax at 38° C on the flat trail. just as i like it!

long road, long ride
Tuesday, August 5th, 2003(almost) done!
Sunday, July 27th, 2003the TdF 2003 is over, lance won the yellow jersey the fifth time in a row. my paper is finished, too. i just need to print it out (tomorrow) and hand it in (on tuesday). so what’s next? i guess it’s high time for some bike riding.
stage 15
Monday, July 21st, 2003what a stage today! the TdF couldn’t be more exciting. i found myself glued to the screen, watching lance’s climb of the last mountain. and suddenly he just… crashed! boy, i thought, that’s it… but no, lance mounts the bike and launches another attack. he’s back to his “old” form, “flying” up the mountain to win the stage. the fifth TdF victory is within reach, just keep it up!
dig deep, carry on
Saturday, July 19th, 2003lance’s not doing as well as expected this year. the tour hit the Pyrenees today and he’s not in good shape after the TT. lance is still wearing the Yellow jersey and i really do hope that he’ll continue to do so, but at the moment… well… there is reason to doubt it.
however, there is little doubt about my paper. i expect it to be finished just in time next weekend.
Alpe d’Huez, anyone?
Sunday, July 13th, 2003ah, the TdF got to the alpes, finally! and guess what, lance’s back in yellow. i couldn’t resist and simply had to watch the last kilometers of the stage. i expected that lance would win this stage like he did in 2001. he finished third, which was a little disappointing but overall he’s once again in Yellow… go lance, you’re on the ride for five!
TdF 2003
Wednesday, July 2nd, 2003just a few more days and *the* sports event of the year is about to begin: i am talking about the Tour de France 2003. i follow “le tour” on television for three years now… and it all started after i read Lance Armstrong’s “It’s not about the Bike”… hell of a read!
screaming down a trail
Monday, June 30th, 2003finally took my bike out for a ride. it was a really hot summer day with no rain or clouds in sight. just perfect!
