well, yet another year older. *sighs* i usually tend to treat my birthday like every other day but something is always there that reminds me that this day is meant to be special. the best birthday was two years ago; although i had to attend class from 9 am to 6 pm it was great fun. i spent the day doing something i really love, i.e. discussing and analyzing popular culture from a psychoanalytical point of view. after class we all went to the campus cocktail bar and it was simply awesome. i will never forget this birthday. alas, a lot has changed in the past two years and so here i am, “celebrating” my birthday in solitude.

I take the same attitude as you, it is as a normal day with nothing too special about it. I don’t know why some people make it a big deal. Happy birthday to you and may you have many more to come!
Happy birthday!
I know the feeling of odd solitude, I always get that around my birthday, no matter how many people I’m surrounded by!
It should be a time to re-focus your life and think of what you really want to be achieving this year! You’ve only got one life, do something crazy this year!
