deus ex: invisible war

after all the negative reviews i’ve read, i had very low expectations. just give it a try, it is Deus Ex after all. and i am really suprised! it’s not like Deus Ex, part 1, that is for sure. but the difference does not make this game fade in the light of its highly acclaimed predecessor. it’s like Neocron in single player only, but simpler and with better graphics. what i really love is the thick cyberpunk atmosphere of conspiracy and corruption: that is exactly the “bleak vision” of the future which is unique to this genre.

update from the cold front

as the title says (pun intended, of course!), a little update: i guess the worst part of my cold is almost over (the runny nose that is), but i am still recovering. what really pisses me of is the darn snow outside! hell, it is march already and it is snowing like in december, which sucks big time. got Deus Ex: Invisible War today. feels good from what i have seen so far…

life would be perfect…

finally! handed in the very last seminar paper today - not in person, but i dropped it off at the post office. well, that was a first for me since i have never handed a paper in per mail. save the best things for the last one.
