falling down?

it’s amazing. the cover of “Snow Crash” was originally part of the cover of “The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind”. i wonder how the two books are related, if there is a relationship at all. Stephenson’s story deals at great length with Sumerian myth and language… mental note: do some research on the bicameral mind.
finally! and i was a little surprised by the eagerly awaited sequel. great movie, loads of action and philosophy.
…to kick some ass. my presentation on tuesday was a success. to gain a deeper understanding of RPGs, i started playing Diablo II yesterday. although it is a classic (fantasy) RPG i expect to gain some valuable insight.

exchanged my defective hdd. i simply cannot risk any data loss. (months of work lost! a nightmare!) prepared the presentation i am about to give tomorrow. yet again, on a specific part of my ongoing project. right on!
i can’t hardly wait to see the second part of the trilogy! i’m halfway through the game “enter the matrix” and although i am a little bit disappointed as far as the quality of the textures goes, this game really kicks ass. the animation of the characters are simply great and the story is riveting. let’s see how deep the rabbit hole goes…
this is the third attempt to read neal stephenson’s snow crash. i really hope i am going to finish it this time. great cyberpunk novel so far, not as dark as gibson.
what i really hate are traffic jams. they really suck big time. and guess what, i had the pleasure to get stuck in a traffic jam yesterday. they’ve just closed the highway en route home after class. it usually takes me appr. 42 minutes to get home; yesterday i drove for almost 75 minutes… oh well…
my case study is progressing as anticipated. however, it will take some time to draw the appropriate conclusions. to cheer up my mood a bit i watched two episodes from the second season of Alias. this is good stuff!
i tend to forget to make backups of my harddisk data regularly. now the harddisk with my personal data has started to make funny noises and vibrations, i thought it might be a good idea to create yet another harddisk image in case disaster strikes. be prepared!
